Philomel's Song kicked off our 2008-9 recital series exquisitely. The group's obvious artistic mastery was made even more mesmerizing by its deep spiritual connection to the music and the texts. Bravi! We look forward to having you join us again in the near future.

Dear Phyllis and Jill,
Thank you so much for the beautiful concert on the Little Church Midday Music series. Your programming - art songs set to the music of Rabindranath Tagore- was inspired. Your highly polished performances held the audience in rapt attention. Thanks again for a beautiful afternoon concert.

Yesterday the Merrick Library hosted a duo-Philomel's Song. Jill Sokol played two types of flutes and the piccolo and she was accompanied by Phyllis Fay Farmer, who had a beautiful operatic voice. They had great interaction with the audience. We had a nice size crowd that had nothing but high praise for their performance. I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout. If anyone is interested in this program please contact me.
